It is difficult to put into words the feelings so many of us are sharing at the sudden loss of our friend and SDCC Co-Chair, Senator Scott White. Our most heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with Scott’s wife Alison and their two young children.
Scott’s legislative career was brief but impressive. He was a leader in the fight to fund King County Metro, a staunch defender of working families across Washington and leading voice for both K-12 and higher education. His legislative skills, calm demeanor and positive outlook will be sorely missed.
Scott was also a tremendous co-chair for our campaign committee. He was eager to meet new potential candidates and coach them through the ins and outs of a legislative campaign. He fought everyday to ensure the progressive values he held so close to his heart were protected, but worked just as effectively across party lines to get things done and move our state forward.

We will always remember Scott for his tenacity, determination and kindness. He was a fabulous Senator, a dedicated father and husband, and a wonderful friend to so many of us. We will miss him now, and always.
